Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) Service

Understanding Testosterone Deficiency (TD)

Testosterone Deficiency is increasingly common, impacting quality of life and increasing risks of cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and more. Symptoms often include physical, psychological, metabolic, and sexual concerns.

Why Choose Loughview Health?

Unlike online providers, Loughview Health offers a bespoke, face-to-face TRT service led by experienced doctors, ensuring close monitoring and maximum safety.

Our Three-Step Approach

For men with symptoms or concerns about TD, we offer a three-step pathway for accurate diagnosis and, if needed, tailored treatment—without high financial commitments or subscriptions.

Step 1: Initial Testosterone Check

Tick Blood test with a doctor (fasting, before 11am) plus a questionnaire on symptoms.

Tick Cost: £100

Step 2: Advanced Male Hormone Profile

Tick If initial results show low testosterone, a deeper hormone profile (30+ parameters) is done after four weeks to confirm deficiency and identify potential causes.

Tick Cost: £250

Step 3: TRT Membership

Tick For confirmed low testosterone, we provide a membership for ongoing treatment and monitoring.

Tick Price: £175/month (6-month minimum; £175 non-refundable deposit covers initial consultation)

Includes:

Tick 30-minute consultation, physical exam, and initial injection

Tick Long-acting testosterone injections: first two doses 6 weeks apart, then every 12 weeks

Tick Face-to-face follow-up at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months

Tick All necessary blood tests and monitoring

There’s no obligation to proceed to the next step if results are normal or if the patient prefers to stop. However, fees at each step are non-refundable.

Contraindications to TRT:

TRT may not be suitable if you have:

  •     Prostate or male breast cancer
  •     Fertility goals
  •     Haematocrit >54%
  •     Severe chronic heart failure (NYHA class IV)

Normalising testosterone can:

  •    Improve sexual function, mood, energy, bone density, muscle mass, and physical function
  •    Reduce risk of progressing from pre-diabetes to type 2 diabetes
  •    Potentially improve cardiovascular health

Side effects are rare and may include injection site pain, mood changes, or polycythaemia (high blood count). No current evidence links TRT to increased prostate cancer risk.

Recent private blood tests may be accepted if they meet requirements. Contact our team for details.

We adhere to guidelines, offering TRT only if testosterone is below 12 nmol/L (or <14 in prediabetes).
